Village School Visits The Queens Zoo

Shay Rivera

On Friday, March 18th, Village staff and students went on a field trip to the Queens Zoo. Opened in October of 1968, the Queens Zoo has been accepting visitors for almost 55 years. Although Village School field trips usually include a mix of indoor and outdoor activities, Covid restrictions have limited this years field trips to outdoors.

There are many interesting things at the Queens Zoo; including buffalo, a petting zoo, an aviary, and a sea lion pool where you can watch the sea lions eat their lunches.

After an 11:15 sea lion feeding and lunch, Village students ended the trip by walking to the Lemon Ice King of Corona.
