Cradle Con 2022

Last weekend was Long Island’s very own Cradle Con, a pop culture convention held at  Garden City’s Cradle of Aviation. While the convention is relatively new, it is not the first con to be held at the museum. The first was Enternal Con, one of Long Island’s biggest comic conventions, which was hosted at the Cradle temporarily, while the Nassau Coliseum was being rebuilt.

Cradle Con quickly has become a highly visited convention by comic, pop culture, and movie enthusiasts alike. I have been attending the convention since the days of Eternal Con and it has always been a satisfying experience. While you won’t likely find the same amount of actors and talent that appear at Eternal Con, which is now hosted by Hofstra University, there is no shortage of excitement or enthiasiam at Cradle Con.

Gamers will be glad to know that the Cradle’s video game exhibit is fully operational and included with your ticket purchase, which at $25, is a very reasonable price point. In addition, cosplayers from all around Long Island come decked out in new, exciting, and sometimes expensive gear that will excite, entertain, or plain creep you out!

Finally, for all those looking to make a purchase, there is usually around two dozen vendors set up selling goods like comics, toys, Manga, and collectibles from different eras.
