Fire at Migrant Detention Center Leaves 39 Dead.

On March 27th, 2023, a fire broke out at a migrant detention center in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, leaving 39 dead and many seriously injured.
The Head of the Specialized Prosecutor for Human Rights stated, “At 8:30 p.m., migrants gathered mattresses and minutes later set them on fire. None of the civil servants, nor the security guards, took any action to open the door to the migrants who were inside with the fire.”
Not only are the people who started this fire under investigation but so are the guards who didn’t let them out.
