Egg+Fried+Rice

On May 16th, our cooking class made egg fried rice. The chefs who made this recipe were Jessie and Jonah.

《Ingredients》

3 tbsp cooking oil

4 eggs, beaten with a pinch of salt

4 cups cold jasmine rice

2 tbsp soy sauce (can add more depending on how you like it)

Pinch of salt

4 green onions, sliced

 

《Directions》

1. Heat a wok or skillet over high heat; add 1 tbsp cooking oil, swirl to coat. Pour beaten eggs into the wok and scramble.

2. When the eggs are cooked 3/4 way, add remaining 2 tbsp cooking oil and cold jasmine rice. Break down rice and mix it with eggs.

3. Add soy sauce around the edge of the wok, so it will burn slightly for smoky umami flavor. Add salt to your taste and mix everything well. Reduce heat to low if needed.

4. Turn off the heat and stir in green onions. Garnish with sesame seeds if you’d like to and enjoy!

 

We were looking for an easy recipe and this worked great. We added some carrots to ours. Overall it was pretty good and easy to make. I suggest adding more soy sauce personally.
