On April 19, Village hosted its annual Festival of the Arts.
Festival of the Arts is when students have the opportunity to teach workshops on things they are passionate about or show off a talent they have.
This year we had 10 workshops and 6 performances.
Some workshops that were held included High School Musical with El where students learned how to direct a musical and Jumping with Calvin where he taught us all about high jumping. And yes, Calvin talked.
Some of the performances included my (Emma’s) Irish dancing, Autumn dancing to songs from the musical Six and Han-ah’s ballet routine.
Other workshops included Slime Factory with Ella and Jocelyn, Henna with Tova and Amanda, and Metal Detecting with Grant. In Grant’s workshop, the girls found a scissor that was put in the ground earlier that day; of course, the boys wouldn’t listen to us when we said that there was a scissor in the ground.
We ended the day with a performance by Steve and his friend Tony, and they slayed.
Ronni was very grateful for everyone to performed or held a workshop. Overall, Festival of the Arts 2024 was a success!!!!!
