Luke Perry, aged 52, died Monday, March 4 after complications from a massive stroke he had the previous week. Coincidentally, on the same day, the reboot for the show he was most famous for, “Beverly Hills, 90210”, was announced. On the show, which ran from 1990-2000, Perry played Dylan McKay, which secured him teen heartthrob status.
From Hollywood came messages expressing shock and sadness. Ryan Seacrest posted on Twitter, “Luke Perry was a great actor and truly one of a kind. Watching him on 90210 was one of the reasons why I wanted to move to LA. Thinking of his family and friends on and off the set. Rest in peace.” when the show aired. Perry appearanced in many other shows and movies including the film version of “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”, the show, “Red Wing,” and most recently, “Riverdale.”
