Yesterday, at the Fort Hood Army base in Texas, there was a deadly shooting where Specialist Ivan Lopez went on a killing spree killing 4 and injuring 16. Lopez then took his own life.“He was engaged by military police before he fatally shot himself in the head”, said the Army post’s commander, Lt. Gen. Mark A. Milley.
Lopez was armed with a Smith and Wesson .45 acp that he recently purchased. The Army post is still on edge from the November 2009 shooting where Army Maj. Nidal Malik opened fire at Fort Hood, killing 13 people and injuring 32.
