On May 24th, 2018 in Santa Fe, Texas, a 17 year old named Dimitrios Pagourtzis decided to take the lives of 10 people- 2 teachers and 8 students at Santa Fe High School. Pagourtzis’s father thinks his attack was due to bullying. Two days later, students protested by lying down in front of the mayor’s house
with signs that spoke to banning guns where they live.

So sad that this is happening. I think a small or big reason that this is happening is because the shooters are being publicized and gaining fame weather its good or not. The news channels and articles should not name the shooter and just say it was a student and continue. The brain grows from experiences and when school shootings are so common nowadays there are kids out there who want that publicity. It is wrong, and sad that this is a regular thing we need to take precautions of.
